Adding a second layer of security to prevent unauthorized access is easier using a new service provided by Information Technology Services. Duo Push, a two-factor authentication tool from Duo Security, generates and sends a passcode to the user's mobile device to verify access for any online service.

"Duo is a service we're excited to offer," says Michael Rutt, ITS Security Analyst. "Two-factor authentication is a must for system and application developers. This is an easy-to-use service that ensures that your account stays safe, even if someone else knows your login and password credentials."

Duo Mobile is available on all smartphone platforms; iPhone and Android users can also use a "tap to approve" feature that eliminates the need to enter additional passcodes online.
