The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Early College and Career STEM Program invites current and future high school parents and students to attend a virtual open house on Monday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The program is the first of its kind and the first to partner the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with Lincoln Public Schools. It’s a collaboration between the university’s CASNR and Lincoln Northeast High School and will prepare Nebraska’s future workforce in the areas of food, energy, water and societal systems as well as provide students the opportunity to earn early college credit through Nebraska Now.
This virtual event is geared toward potential and current LNE students. However, the public is welcome to tune in. LNE students will have the opportunity to participate in experiential learning opportunities, applicable hands-on experiences with university guest speakers, college credit courses, job shadowing, digital badge certification and internships.
