Nebraska Wheat Variety Tour was held in June across the state

On June 12, the Stumpf Farm in Perkins County, Nebraska, was one of eight field sites among this year’s wheat variety tour held across the state.

Tours were led by the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture’s Cody Creech and Amanda Easterly of the UNL Crop Performance Testing Program with assistance from Katherine Frels, small grains breeder in agronomy and horticulture, Stephen Wegulo, small grains plant pathologist in plant pathology, and other University of Nebraska researchers in conjunction with farmer-cooperators and UNL Farm Managers.
