The next Agronomy and Horticulture seminar is Feb. 26
Nipuna Chamara, research assistant professor in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, will present “Generative and Physical AI for Crop Production Decision-Making: Current Progress and Future Directions,” on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. CST in Keim Hall 150 or streamed live via Zoom at https://go.unl.edu/seminars.
Chamara will explore how generative AI and physical AI systems can improve real-time crop production decisions. He will present Nebraska-based research on AI-driven irrigation, nitrogen management and sensor-integrated decision platforms, demonstrating performance in field trials and outlining future opportunities for scalable, producer-ready precision agriculture tools.
