Students in Plant and Landscape Systems 300 Introduction to Construction Management class taught by Kim Todd, an extension horticulture specialist and professor of agronomy and horticulture (right), build a flagstone patio behind Keim Hall near the Backyard Farmer garden on East Campus.
The only physical construction course offered in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture every spring, it challenges students to integrate environmental considerations with design. They must determine material quantities and specifications, plan the layout, and map out the full construction process from start to finish.
