The next Agronomy and Horticulture seminar is April 16

Michael Castellano, professor of agronomy and William T. Frankenberger professor of soil science at Iowa State University, will present “The Iowa Nitrogen Initiative: Integrating Research, Teaching and Extension for the Benefit of All,” at 11 a.m. CDT April 16 in Keim Hall, Room 150 or streamed live via Zoom at https://go.unl.edu/seminars.

The Iowa Nitrogen Initiative is a private-public partnership that provides Iowans with the best nitrogen science in the world for the benefit of productivity, profitability, and environmental performance. Iowa State University partners with farmers and agricultural service providers to conduct hundreds of scientifically robust on-farm experiments every year. In February 2025, they released the N-FACT decision support system to help stakeholders better understand and manage nitrogen fertilizer.
