Senior Haley Klement, a plant and landscape systems major, speaks with residents from David City, Nebraska, during Ecological Landscape Design class taught by Kim Todd, professor of agronomy and horticulture.
Alex Gallegos, architecture (from left), Klement, Elizabeth Pernicek, architecture, and Danielle Braunsroth, landscape architecture, have created plans for a new downtown open space and Veterans Tribute Park. The plans are a redesign of the space based on client input from the previous semester. Part of the David City Downtown Revitalization Plan, students in Todd’s course are helping with the planning phase of the park with construction potentially beginning as early as spring 2027.
