Terri James, extension educator in agronomy and horticulture, stops for a breather during the Horticulture Club’s spring bedding plant sale on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's East Campus.
James serves as an adviser to the club, which provides students with hands-on opportunities to participate in the production of a wide variety of plant species. Through every stage of plant growth, members gain practical experience with greenhouse production and management practices. The club’s success depends on the dedication and strong work ethic of its members and advisers, as well as support generated through several seasonal plant sales that help fund the organization’s activities and educational opportunities.
