Qualifications include...
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university or ability to obtain degree within nine months.
• Engineer-In-Training accreditation or ability to obtain accreditation within one year.
• Zero to five years of experience as a Project Engineer.
• Ability to develop (design and draft) roadway construction plans.
• Have strong Autodesk Civil 3D skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team.
• Possess strong technical writing skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
• Assist in engineering analysis and preparation of engineering reports, maps, drawings, designs, specifications, plans, and permits for projects.
• Assist with traffic study reports.
• Assist with analyses and designs for roadway, parking lots, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water distribution, grading, and other roadway infrastructure.
• Apply computer skills in engineering and design software with exposure to Excel, Access, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam software to display, analyze, and manage data.
• May assist with field work and/or construction inspections.
• Conduct project research as necessary to initiate/complete projects.
