A Civil Engineering firm has openings for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in our Omaha office.
DESCRIPTION:
The Civil Engineering Intern will use verbal directions, computations and engineering data to prepare drawings that meet company quality objectives and client standards using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. They will have the ability to apply sound engineering principles to the development of detailed design drawings, under the guidance and direction of senior engineers & project managers. The individual will be assisting on a variety of engineering design and construction management tasks including but not limited to design and development of drawings for residential and commercial projects including all phases of land development: site layout, utilities, grading and drainage, on-site construction observation, field investigations, cost estimating and other tasks on an as-needed basis.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
• The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and will be detail oriented.
• Team oriented individual that works in cooperation with others to satisfy the overall project objectives.
• Self-motivated and capable of satisfying multiple project requirements simultaneously within a deadline sensitive environment
EXPERIENCE:
• AutoCAD, Experience Preferred
COMPENSATION: Pay will be set based on experience and capability.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday (part time during school year, full time during breaks)
• Start Date in January or Febr. 2021
• Office is in Omaha. Willing to consider Lincoln-based students willing to travel to Omaha one day a week during academic year.
