About AWWA & WEF:
The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an international society of over 50,000
members dedicated to providing total water solutions assuring the effective management of
water. The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is a professional association of over
34,000 water quality professionals who clean water and return it safely to the environment.
The members of these organizations proudly protect public health, serve their local
communities, and support the availability of clean water worldwide. The two organizations
represent the full spectrum of the water community: public drinking water, wastewater
systems, watershed management, water reuse, industrial wastewater management, and storm
water management systems. The membership includes engineers, scientists, environmental
advocates, and others who hold a genuine interest in water.
