Professional licensure is required for many jobs, including in
consulting engineering and governmental agencies. The
presentation will focus on information needed to help students that
have not earned an ABET-accredited engineering degree prepare to
obtain licensure. The presentation will describe what is licensure,
the steps required to obtain licensure, a brief overview of exam
topics, and sharing some pointers to help students prepare to obtain
licensure. Professional ethics is a licensure exam topic typically
not covered in graduate-level classes. A brief overview of
professional ethics, professional codes of conducts, and the types
of ethics questions on professional exams will be presented.
