AWWA membership and scholarships
The Nebraska Section AWWA Scholarships are the Colonel Theodore A. Liesen Memorial Scholarship and Singer Scholarship. The Liesen scholarship, sponsored by the Nebraska Section of AWWA is open to graduate and undergraduate students while the Singer Scholarship, sponsored by National AWWA, is open to graduate students only.
The Signer Scholarship is among 22 scholarships and fellowships that AWWA Student members can apply. The application information can be found at: https://www.awwa.org/Water-Equation/AWWA-Scholarship-Award-Program. Students will apply for these AWWA national scholarships directly through their on-line system. The application form for the Liesen scholarship is attached to this email. If you are interested in applying for the Liesen scholarships, please submit your application as a PDF to Dr. George Hunt (ghunt2@unl.edu) or to Dr. Bruce Dvorak (bdvorak1@unl.edu) by 5 pm of Friday 9/30/2022.
Nebraska Section AWWA membership is $20 for students.
The AWWA scholarships will be awarded during an in-person conference in in Kearney, NE from Noon to 1pm on Thursday November 4, 2021.
NWEA scholarships and WEF membership
The Nebraska Water Environment Association is offering scholarships to both graduate and undergraduate students. The application form is attached to this email. If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, please submit your application as a PDF to Dr. George Hunt (ghunt2@unl.edu) by 5 pm of Friday 9/30/2022.
WEF student membership dues are $30. Applicants can join online at:
https://www.wef.org/student-membership/. NWEA will reimburse all student members for all $30.
