Abstract:
In this presentation, we discuss some of the major implications of us Generative AI text tools in academic settings. We explore uses of some of the tools for learning, writing, and enhancing the learning experience. Some of the questions we will explore together include: Should AI be a complement to student learning? What boundaries should you consider as an engineering student? How do we define appropriate use? Is there room for the practical application of a theoretical concepts using AI in engineering fields? As AI-infused tools increase in popularity, it is important to understand their impact on your learning.
