$1.5M Grant from USEPA Awarded to Dr. Nirupam Aich's Collaborative Research Group

Dr. Nirupam Aich's research group awarded a major collaborative $1.5M grant from USEPA to work on the development of integrated nano-sensor/nano-catalyst system that will be able to simultaneously detect and remove/destroy PFAS or forever chemicals from groundwater.

Also, Dr. Aich's group published a collaborative paper in the prestigious Journal of Hazardous Materials discussing how PFAS molecules are distributed in waste landfills - this understanding will help to determine if we need to maintain and manage solid waste landfills more efficiently for handling PFAS.
