Nov 7th, from 10:00-11:00 AM Eastern Time (US).
A panel of U.S. faculty and current graduate students from STEM fields will answer questions about graduate school, including admissions, securing funding and selecting a research advisor.
Each session will kick off with faculty discussing their specific school and program and describing what they look for in a graduate student. They will also discuss the typical time taken for their students to graduate, job opportunities, and expectations.
Some discussion questions will include:
-What are common mistakes that applicants make on their graduate school applications?
-What advice would you give to students who are applying for graduate assistantships?
-What questions should you be asking when you talk with faculty and current graduate students?
-What are some of the challenges and rewards of being a graduate student?
Participation is free. You are encouraged to create an account on the Coltie app to take advantage of graduate advisor matching.
