Applications are invited in any area of Structural Engineering. Individuals with expertise in the engineering for extreme loading conditions, experimental research, reliability and risk assessment, computational mechanics, structural health monitoring, and innovative materials should apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses, advise undergraduate and graduate students, guide student research, develop an externally funded research program in the applicant’s area of expertise, and be committed to professional activities by participating in both internal and external outreach and service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field with emphasis on Structural Engineering received by start date.
-Have at least one earned degree at any level in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or provide evidence of teaching coursework at an ABET accredited program.
-Ability or potential to establish an externally funded research program in one of the following areas of structural engineering: design for extreme loading conditions, experimental research, reliability and risk assessment, computational mechanics, structural health monitoring, and innovative materials.
-Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Licensed or ability to become licensed as a professional engineer.
-Knowledge of the practice of civil engineering.
