The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) in the Armour College of Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) invites applications for a full-time nontenure-track teaching faculty position to support its educational activities.
Candidates are sought at the level of assistant or associate teaching professor, with a standard teaching load of six course equivalents per year. Priority areas of expertise for this position include but are not limited to engineering graphics; surveying; engineering mechanics; thermal-fluid sciences; construction
engineering and management; and/or building materials and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, lighting). The successful candidate is expected to assume the role of primary instructor and coordinator of our capstone senior design course for civil and architectural engineering students.
Successful candidates are expected to have a graduate degree in civil, architectural, or environmental engineering or related field (a doctorate is preferred but not required), to have relevant work experience, and to have a professional engineering license or be able to obtain a professional engineering license within four years of beginning employment with Illinois Tech. The expected start date is August 2025.
