SEI Graduate Student Chapter

Graduate students,

Please see below for a message from Suzanne Fisher, Senior Manager, SEI Operations. Any students interested in forming an SEI grad student chapter are requested to notify Dr. Steelman of their interest by Sept 1 through email (joshua.steelman@unl.edu).

We are busy planning for another great SEI Structures Congress next year in Ft. Worth and hope you will join us there.

I’d like to make sure you are aware of the opportunity to affiliate as an SEI Graduate Student Chapter.

SEI Graduate Student Chapters broaden students’ horizons as structural engineering professionals, and prepare them for a successful transition from college to career.

Benefits for SEI Grad Student Chapters include affiliation with SEI and logo branding, one free group webinar per year, best practices networking with members and other local chairs on qtrly conf chairs, and funding for Chair to participate at the annual fall SEI Local Leaders Conference (coming up October 20-21 in Chicago), receive outreach materials and more.

For a list of SEI Grad Student Chapters and the simple steps (letter of support, MOU, and application) to establish/affiliate as an SEI Grad Student Chapter see http://www.asce.org/SEILocal

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact SEI Local Activities GSC Liaison Matt Kawczenski cc’d above, or myself.

Best,

Suzanne
