Winter storm parking rules for Lincoln streets impact campus areas

When Nebraska winter weather hits, the City's Snow Plan for Lincoln streets takes effect, including parking bans on City streets. Streets adjacent and passing through to Downtown, East and Innovation campuses are official Lincoln streets and these rules apply.

Based on the severity of the storm, the City can declare a snow emergency with parking banned on emergency snow routes, arterial streets and City bus routes. In snow removal districts, parking restrictions can be declared. Additional rules can apply to residential areas. Maps and details are available on the City website http://lincoln.ne.gov/city/pworks/engine/traffic/snow/#s

The City also provides email alerts and Twitter access to the latest street and parking information, available at http://lincoln.ne.gov/city/pworks/engine/traffic/snow/#s
