Display current parking permit

All vehicles parked in designated campus areas must be registered and display a valid parking permit. New 2017-2018 permits are available in options for students, faculty and staff. The cost of each permit remains unchanged for the third consecutive year.

Parking permit options are detailed at http://parking.unl.edu/parking.

Permits are available at the Parking and Transit Services office, 625 Stadium Drive, Suite A. For in person purchase, print, complete and bring the application form, available at http://parking.unl.edu/documents/Parking-Permit-Application-Form.pdf.

Perimeter parking rules take effect

Perimeter parking permit holders must use designated lots beginning Aug. 21. Expanded allowable summer parking areas end with the start of the new academic year.

Campus construction projects continue

Construction projects affecting parking across campuses are moving forward.
East Campus
• As work on the Veterinary Diagnostic Center is completed, client parking areas and “A” designated areas will be available. Signs will be installed for the assigned areas when ready for use.
• A new commuter student Area “C” lot is available by 41st Street and East Campus Loop Road.
• The new “E” area located north of the College of Dentistry provides parking for residents of the Massengale Residential Center.
• Demolition of Burr and Fedde halls shifts adjacent “A” parking permits to Hardin Hall lots. Meters in the area are closed to provide construction equipment access.

Downtown Campus
• Construction at Morrill Hall affects parking east of the building. Signs provide direction to available parking.
• Due to construction during student move-in, permit holders for “A” lots near Abel and Sandoz Halls can use “A” spaces north of Nebraska Hall.

If you have a Garage Permit – Follow usage guides

Display a current university parking garage permit from the vehicle rear-view mirror. The hangtag has RFID coding that provides access through campus garage gate scanners.

For best operation, remove any old permit from the vehicle because it will prevent the gates from opening.
Garage Permit Usage
• Garage permit is valid only in assigned campus garage.
• For trouble at a gate, press the call intercom button for assistance.
• Each permit allows only one vehicle to enter and exit the garage.

Full details are available at http://parking.unl.edu/additional-permit-information#garage-hangtags.
