Parking rules shift for Husker football game days
The return of Husker football will bring minor changes to campus parking in the hours before kickoffs at Memorial Stadium.
Game day parking enforcement begins at 10 p.m. the day before home games and continues hours after the final whistle. Students can avoid game day parking tickets or impoundment by contacting Parking and Transit Services with questions.
For students living on campus and using resident parking permits:
• The permit is only valid in its assigned surface lot or garage on home football days.
• Parking a vehicle in any donor or cashiered area will likely result in the vehicle being ticketed and towed.
For students living off campus and using university parking permits:
• Parking permits are not valid in regular assigned campus parking areas, including surface lots and garages, on home football game days.
• Students with commuter permits may park in other lots on game days. Those lots include surface lots at 16th and X streets (near the Boathouse) and 1700 Y St.; the perimeter lot at 15th and Court streets; and the Devaney Sports Center lots.
