No increase in cost of new parking permits

For the fourth consecutive year, University of Nebraska–Lincoln parking permit rates will remain unchanged as sales for the 2018-19 year begin April 16.

“We are happy to keep permit costs at the same levels,” said Dan Carpenter, director of Parking and Transit Services. “Efforts to control parking expenses and maximize other revenue options have been successful.”

Online sales
Online sales begin Monday, April 16.
• Permits are detailed at https://parking.unl.edu/student-parking-options
o Parking permits for students who live on campus coordinate with housing facilities.
• Complete permit purchase at https://parking.unl.edu/student-parking-permit-purchase-guide
• Permits ordered online will mail beginning July 16.

In person sales
In person permit sales begin July 2 for students.
• Permits will be available at the Parking and Transit Services office, 625 Stadium Drive, Suite A.
• For in person purchase, complete, print and bring the Printable Application Form available at http://parking.unl.edu/documents/Parking-Permit-Application-Form.pdf

Display new permits
Annual permits must be displayed beginning Aug. 13.
Nine-month permits must be displayed beginning Aug. 13.

Mobile bus passes app link distributed in August

StarTran bus passes are provided to students and funded by the student transit fees.
A new mobile bus pass app will be introduced for the 2018-19 academic year. Steps to download and activate the bus pass will be issued via email in the summer.

To use the mobile bus pass app:
• Download bus pass app to a mobile phone.
• Display phone to the driver on the bus for ride access.
