On October 19, UNL CMS will upgrade to UNL Framework 6, which was released in the summer. The underlying software of UNL CMS will also be upgraded to its next major version, Drupal 11, over Thanksgiving break.
These updates should require no work on the part of CMS website owners. Drupal 11 is focused on modernizing the backend architecture of the system, rather than making major changes to the frontend user experience or authoring interfaces. The update should result in speedier performance and increased reliability for the system, which powers the largest and busiest website of any public entity in Nebraska.
