Dean’s Office Student Worker ($15/hr)
The College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office is seeking two student workers for front office coverage. Responsibilities will include greeting walk-in guests, answering phone calls and emails, collecting and distributing mail, and other maintenance of the day-to-day office operations to help keep the Dean’s Office running smoothly. There is also potential for special projects as administrators need support, such as creating presentations, researching information, or other tasks. What we are looking for in you: Reliable, self-starting, and willing to learn new processes. Availability for midday and afternoon coverage is ideal but the hours are flexible. It's not required but helpful that candidates are familiar with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Loop), Canva, or DocuSign, but we are willing train someone with enthusiasm to learn.

Student Worker – Archives & Special Collections ($13.50/hr)
The student assistant will work with personnel in Archives & Special Collections in Love Library to transcribe historical records related to the Vietnam War. Responsibilities include reading digitized historical documents; creating a transcription of the documents’ text; and working with libraries’ personnel to track progress and add transcriptions to item records. Applicants must be current UNL students with the ability to work 8-10 hours a week on a regular schedule during Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm. Must demonstrate attention to detail and be familiar with Excel and Adobe products.

Backstage Crew Worker ($16/hr)
The Lied Center is seeking backstage crew workers. Duties include preparing the stage and its equipment for upcoming events, loading and unloading touring company trucks, and performing maintenance work as needed backstage. This is an on call position with no guarantee of number of hours worked per week. Schedule is based on events in the building; days, evenings and weekends. No experience is required-will train. Preference will be given to those that are able to work some weekdays during the time slots of 8am-1pm and 1pm-6pm or have backstage experience. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., be prompt and reliable, and a quick learner. Must be able to work well with other crew members.

Writing Center Assistant ($13.50/hr)
Writing Center Assistants provide in-person reception and other support functions for the Writing Center, including greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering data, and providing general academic resource and referral information. Writing Center Assistants must be prepared to act in a friendly and professional manner, work as a member of a team, maintain confidentiality where required, check email and Slack regularly, and attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Applicants must be willing to commit to a weekly schedule, demonstrate professional written and oral communication abilities, and demonstrate an ability to perform daily administrative tasks. (NOTE: This is not a writing consultant position.)

Writing Tutor ($13.50/hr)
The SSS/TRIO Program is hiring a writing tutor! Must be an undergraduate student in a degree-granting program for the duration of employment. Must have fulfilled the first-year writing requirement and received a B or higher (or the AP/IB equivalent) in first-year writing course(s). Must have an interest in writing and talking about writing with other writers. Must have excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Must be curious, highly motivated, and eager to learn.

Photo & Audiovisual Collections Cataloging Assistant ($13.50/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring a student worker to help index the AV portion of the KMTV collection. There are about 4 years, or 60 binders, worth of entries that need to be added to an existing spreadsheet. This project will greatly aid researchers looking for stories from that time period, and will help to better serve Nebraskans. The footage is also utilized by news stations frequently. Workstudy students only.

Museum Collections Assistant ($13.50-$15/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring a student worker to assist in the Museum Collections Department at the Nebraska History Museum (131 Centennial Mall North). Student will assist with collections inventory and updating electronic catalog records. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and climb ladders. Good attention to detail and data entry experience desired. Hours must be completed on a set schedule between 9:00 AM and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Workstudy students only.
