• All scholars are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA
• All scholars must earn at least 18 credit hours or 27 quarter hours each award year
• All scholars must take an active role in monitoring your academic progress with your W.H. Thompson Program Coordinator
First Year Scholar Requirements:
Non-compliance with one or more of these requirements may result in loss of your scholarship
Fall Semester:
• Register and complete 3 W.H. Thompson Courses (One of which must be the W.H. Thompson First Year Experience Seminar)
• Must attend 1 event and complete evaluation for complete credit (Choose from Academic or Life Skills event)
• Must attend 2 mentor/mentee group activities
• Must attend 3 mentor/mentee individual meetings
• Must attend mandatory First-Year Scholar Orientation
• Must submit grades during mid-semester grade check
Spring Semester:
• Register and complete 2 W.H. Thompson Courses
• Must attend 2 events and complete evaluation for complete credit (Choose from Academic, Life Skills, or Social events [at least one must be Academic or Life Skills])
• Must attend 3 mentor/mentee group activities
• Must attend 3 mentor/mentee individual meetings
• Must submit grades during mid-semester grade check
Second Year Scholar Requirements:
Non-compliance with one or more of these requirements may result in loss of your scholarship
Fall Semester:
• Register and complete 1 W.H. Thompson Course
• Must attend 2 events and complete evaluation for complete credit (Choose from any combination of Academic, Life Skills, or Social events)
• Must attend mandatory Sophomore Scholar Welcome Back
• Must attend mandatory One-on-One meeting with a W.H. Thompson Program Coordinator
• Must submit grades during mid-semester grade check
Spring Semester:
• Must attend 2 events and complete evaluation for complete credit (Choose any combination of Academic, Life Skills, or Social events)
• Must submit grades during mid-semester grade check
