Something you have learned as a W.H. Thompson Scholar: The event opportunities offered through the program offer a lot of relevant information that I’ve been able to apply to my academic career. For example, I’ve been able to learn a couple test taking strategies that have helped calm my nervous during big exams.
Something you love most about being a W.H. Thompson Scholar: Meeting all the new students that received this wonderful opportunity. When I started as a freshman I didn't really know many people, but because of the scholarship I met people that I still have a close relationship with and have become close friends. That is something that every scholar needs to do, be open to new people and get to know them.
Something you are looking forward to this year as a W.H. Thompson Scholar: I am really looking forward to seeing how all of the W.H. Thompson scholars have changed throughout their academic careers. It’s always nice to meet with other scholars and talk about their experiences and think about how different your first semester was compared to you finishing your first year at the university.
Where you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years I see myself living in Lincoln, NE and having a steady job. Lincoln is a perfect place for a business major to find a career because of all the new and upcoming businesses.
