Join Campus NightLife and the Center for Civic Engagement as we welcome 20 students from the African countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Angola and South Africa with the Study of the U.S. Institutes. Cultural Extravaganza will be held on Friday, January 6 at 9 pm in the Nebraska Union. Activities at the event include: music, dance, and games from other cultures, glow golf, green screen photos, and much more.

The students have been visiting the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since January 9. They were chosen by their home embassies to take part in the Study of U.S. Institutes program. Along with Lincoln, the participants will visit Birmingham, Alabama and Washington D.C and learn about U.S. history, government, democracy, and civic engagement. Since their arrival, the students have been serving at local non-profit in the Lincoln Community.
