Random fact about yourself: I'm constantly looking forward to my next meal. I feel like I connect with people the best through food of likes/dislikes and trying new things. I just love food.
Something you have learned as a William H Thompson Scholar: There are many ways in finding yourself. Whether it's about your morals/values/limits or career/education wise, there's a lot of resources and support in the community to help you.
Something you love most about being a William H Thompson Scholar: It is filled with amazing people that I'm blessed to have met. Everyone is caring and supportive.
Something you are looking forward to this year as a William H Thompson Scholar: I'm looking forward in applying to be a mentor again. It’s like a great opportunity to be closer with the William H Thompson Scholar Learning Community and to be able to influence new scholars in the right direction.
What are your summer plans: My summer is full of opportunities that I am yet to hear from: UNMC Public Health Workshop, and studying abroad. For the rest of my time, I will be spending a lot of quality time with my family and friends back home.
Where you see yourself in 10 years: In ten years, I see myself raising a family with my husband. By then, I would have finished my masters in public health to become a public health educator or health promotion specialist.
