Garmin is on the UNL campus for the yearly Garmin Day today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the northeast side of Avery. Prepare yourself for free food, games, and raffles. Bring a resume, an appetite, and curiosity.
Garmin has a number of engineers to talk with students and faculty interested in learning more about each engineering discipline at Garmin (including Software, Electrical, and Mechanical). Some of their engineers are also located in Nebraska Hall near the Engineering Library and in Kauffman if students can’t make it to the main setup at Avery. At Avery they have a Garmin jeep equipped with the latest products and are encouraging students to bring their resumes for the resume raffle, where students can win a Forerunner 220 running watch. Additionally, they will raffle off a Virb Elite Action Camera and a vivofit fitness monitor. Garmin has a “How-It’s-Made” booth set up for students to see from start to finish what went into developing our Virb Action Camera. And of course, FREE Valentino’s Pizza available for everyone.
