UNL’s 2014 Homecoming activities will begin Sept. 21 and run through Sept. 27. The theme is “Celebrating 125 years of Nebraska Football.”

UNL’s Homecoming Week 5k run and walk will take place Sept. 21 and begin at 4:30 p.m. in the north parking lot of Harper Hall. Men's, women's, and coed divisions are offered, and no pre-registration is required. The event is free to UNL students, faculty, and staff. Runners are encouraged to wear Husker gear to the event. Sept. 22, Monday Night Live will start at 8:00 p.m. in the Coliseum. This show will feature different student teams dancing, acting, and singing while showing school spirit. The East Campus Blood Drive is also on Monday in the East Campus Union from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The City Campus Blood Drive will be in the Nebraska Union from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sept. 23-25.

Dustin Lynch, a successful country music artist, will be performing Sept. 25 on the East Campus Mall for the homecoming concert. It begins at 8:00 p.m. and is free for all UNL students, faculty, staff and alumni. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be relocated to the Lancaster Events Center, 4100 N. 84th St. Voting for homecoming royalty will also be Thursday and can be done through MyRed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sept. 26 the Homecoming Parade starts at 6:00 p.m. at 16th and Vine Street, and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. the Huskers will be playing at Memorial Stadium against Illinois. Homecoming competition and royalty winners will be announced at half-time.
