The Office of Graduate Studies requests nominations for its three graduate recognition awards: (1) Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, (2) Outstanding Graduate Research Assistant Award, and (3) the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Education. Award recipients will be honored at a luncheon on April 12, 2016 during the Spring Research Fair.
The Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award recognizes graduate teaching assistants who have demonstrated special effectiveness in teaching undergraduates at UNL. Recipients will receive a medallion and cash award of $1,000.
The Outstanding Graduate Research Assistant Award recognizes excellence in graduate student research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Recipients will receive a medallion and cash award of $1,000.
The Dean’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Education honors faculty members whose dedication to graduate students and commitment to excellence in graduate mentoring have made a significant contribution to graduate education at UNL. Two awards are given; one to a junior faculty member and one to a senior faculty member. Recipients will receive a medallion and cash award of $2,000.

Copies of the Call for Nominations and the nomination forms are located on http://www.unl.edu/gradstudies/facstaff/awards Nominations will be submitted online. The due date for submission of the nomination form is January 21, 2016; the due date for submission of all supporting materials is February 11, 2016.
