The Bay seeks a motivated, organized, creative individual to help curate engaging programming in our digital art space, The Collective. Working closely with our Program Director, you’ll seek, connect with and manage artists and exhibits which fit the Collective’s educational mission to close our community’s technology gap through skills creation.
The ideal candidate possesses a passion for art, a chip-on-their-shoulder work ethic and an interest in contributing positively to their community.
Duties include:
- Curating the space: artists, exhibits, educational activities
- Managing events, including advancing details to artists, overseeing installation and tear down, coordinating day-of logistics and any other tasks associated with execution
- Hosting tours through the space
- Partnering with The Bay’s marketing team to develop exhibit and event promotion strategy
- Miscellaneous projects and assignments as needed
The Bay is part of Rabble Mill, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to ending generational poverty by enabling kids to to discover their passion and build valuable life and professional skills. The Collective is specifically designed to mold to its resident artists’ creative media while providing educational opportunities for young people.
The position starts Tuesday, Sept. 4 and ends Friday, Dec. 14.
