Assistant Professor Steve Schmidt traveled to Washington D.C. last month to represent the Robert Van Pelt American Inn of Court at the Celebration of Excellence ceremony held in the Great Hall of the United States Supreme Court. American Inns of Court is a lawyer organization committed to fostering excellence in Civility, Ethics, Legal Skills and Professionalism. Professor Schmidt is the President of the local chapter, which will be awarded the highest level of recognition for mastering effective practices in administration, communications, programs, mentoring and outreach. It is the third year in a row that the Robert Van Pelt Inn has received that national recognition.
