The late registration deadline the November 5th MPRE is Thursday, October 6th. While the registration fee is more ($126) for a late registrant, you may encounter problems and fees down the road when you submit your Bar Application if you wait for the March exam date (see below). You can register for the exam at: http://www.ncbex.org/multistate-tests/mpre/guidelines/registration/

If you are taking the Nebraska Bar Exam, you need to have a MPRE score of 85 or higher on file with the Nebraska State Bar Association at the time you submit your Bar Application. If you do not have a score on file at the time you submit your Bar Application, you will be required to pay an additional $100 as part of your application fee.

This year the Nebraska Bar Application deadline is April 2, 2012. Per the MPRE website, score reports are sent out within 5 weeks of the test date. If you wait until the next time the MPRE is administered (March 17, 2012) there is a good chance that your MPRE score will not be on file with the Bar Association at the time you submit your Application and you will be subject to the additional fee. If you plan to take the Bar Exam in another state you will want to check with that state's Bar Association for similar rules.
