‘Portraits: a musical revue’ coming soon to Westbrook

What makes someone interesting to you? The graduate and undergraduate theatre and vocal music majors performing in PORTRAITS have been on a quest to discover the most interesting and unique characters they can find in musical theatre. Thirteen brief musical theatre scenes will be performed on Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall at the Glenn Korff School of Music to introduce you to each character through an intimate, musical portrait. Each portrait allows the audience a musical glimpse into what makes these characters so intriguing.

This revue, directed by Alisa Belflower and featuring Louis Claussen at the piano, features performances by eighteen of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s most talented student performers, many of whom have already won national and international recognition. It promises to be a very exciting evening! Traditional through contemporary musicals provide the backdrop for the variety of scenes to be performed. The performance will be 75 minutes in duration and is free and open to the public. No tickets required.
