WHITEWATER KAYAKING on the San Marcos River
While Nebraska might be sparse when it comes to whitewater, you'll love testing your skills on the clear, spring-fed water of the San Marcos River. Learn not only to read the river and find the cleanest line down rapids, but work on the techniques needed to guide your kayak where you want it to go. Spend your Fall Break in search of a little more adventure. Registration deadline is Oct. 10 and fees are $275 for UNL students and CREC members and $325 for the general public.

KATY TRAIL BIKE TOUR on Lewis and Clark's Route Along the Missouri River
Take a multi-day tour of Missouri on a section of the 237-mile Katy Trail, one of the nation's premier rail-to-trail conversion projects. You will learn basic touring skills including route planning, bike packing, equipment selection and basic camping skills. We'll follow Lewis and Clark's route up the Missouri River, riding under towering river bluffs while eagles circle overhead. This promises to be a trip to remember as we'll enjoy great campsites, hearty meals, and pedal along this tranquil crushed limestone route through the scenic countryside and quaint communities. Registration deadline is Oct. 10 and fees are $275 for UNL students and CREC members and $325 for the general public.

OZARK CLIMBING in Arkansas

Take in the beautiful views complete with rolling hills, rocky outcrops and changing fall colors while we find climbs for all skill ranges. This trip is a great introduction to the sport of rock climbing and will satisfy both beginning and experienced climbers.
