The 4th Annual Big Red Lied Experience has been rescheduled for November 14th at 7:30 p.m. Black Violin features four musicians: two string players, a drummer, and a DJ, who collaborate to create original hip-hop music and remix classical favorites.
Since beginning their Unity Tour in 2016, Black Violin has played for over 100,000 students and soldout crowds in the US and Europe. Their performance weaves threads of personal narrative into a program that enigmatically brings together composers as diverse as Beethoven and Bruno Mars. The show touches on many themes including identity construction, creative collaboration, addressing adversity, historical and contemporary music genres, and unity.
