UNL has expanded international insurance coverage for faculty and staff traveling overseas on university business. This program eliminates the need for employees to purchase medical evacuation insurance individually.
The new service, offered through a partnership with GeoBlue Traveler, includes medical coverage, medical evacuation, assistance in locating doctors abroad and aid in finding equivalent medications.
The program also includes political security and natural disaster evacuation services. Coverage provided through Drum Cussac pays for specified costs of emergency evacuations under certain conditions for faculty and staff traveling on university business with the correct visa.
