Sara Winn, SNR advising coordinator, has been selected to receive the Lawrence K. Crowe Undergraduate Adviser Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions in undergraduate advising.

"This award means so much to me both personally and professionally," Winn said. "A review of the past recipients reveals the significance of this award, as many are respected mentors and colleagues."

As a professional academic adviser, Winn assists students with academic planning, understanding degree requirements, and setting educational and career goals. She also provides information on class scheduling, rules and regulations, graduation requirements, transfer issues, study abroad opportunities, internship searches, and life after graduation.

She will be formally presented with the award at a luncheon on Oct. 29 in the Nebraska East Union.

"We have outstanding advisers on campus and especially in CASNR, so I was honored to simply be nominated by my department," Winn said. "I often say this, but it is true: I am so lucky to have a job that I love."
