The Big Event aims to give back to local communities through one large day of service. At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, more than 3,000 students, faculty, and staff are expected to volunteer and give thanks to Lincoln this spring as part of The Big Event. The organization is entirely student-run and funded by donations from the community.
This year’s ‘The Big Event’ is April 9, 2016 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. SNR will send a team to participate in the project. Join your fellow students, staff and faculty in this fun and rewarding event. It is a great way to get to know others in the School. The types of projects range from cleaning yards to painting houses to helping local agencies do projects that need a lot of hands. We will not exactly know what our project is until closer to the event. Breakfast and lunch are provided. If you can only come for an hour or two still come and join us.
