Nebraska Statewide Arboretum Greenhouse will host a spring plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the NSA Shadehouse, 38th and Leighton streets.
Plants -- native, edible, pollinator-friendly plants, and often with a local seed source -- are catered to
both novice and long-time gardeners.
Most trees and shrubs are in small sizes that will develop strong root systems and likely outgrow larger size plants within 5 to 10 years.
And keep in mind: While you’re getting expert help with landscapes and plants that are just right for Nebraska, you’ll be supporting a nonprofit aimed at promoting and planting beautiful, sustainable landscapes with a sense of place.
