The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will host a series of events on preventing relationship violence.

Organized by the Women's Center, Week Without Violence events began Oct. 8 with a walk to spread awareness that sex trafficking exists in Lincoln and across Nebraska.

Planned events continue through Oct. 20 and include a luncheon discussion on same-sex relationship violence; screening of the film "The Mask You Live In," which explores masculinity in America; and an open microphone night with a focus on social justice.

The Women's Center has been organizing Week Without Violence for more than 10 years. A full list of events is below. All events are free and open to the public.
