The Celtic music ensemble Danu will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 9 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Danu, named for a mother goddess in Irish mythology, is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles today. The seven-member group is from Waterford, Ireland, and performs a high-energy mix of ancient Irish music and newer selections.

A pre-show talk, which is free to all ticket holders, is at 7 p.m. in the Lied's Steinhart Room. The talk will be led by Lori McAlister, a local Celtic music and history enthusiast and vice president of the St. David's Welsh Society of Nebraska.

Ticket prices start at $22 for adults and $11 for youth. Tickets are available at the Lied box office, online at http://www.liedcenter.org or at 402-472-4747.
