UNL's instant messaging users will be soon be able to collaborate via IM or video chat with colleagues on the other Nebraska system campuses using their computers or mobile devices.
Lync, the instant message/collaboration component of Office 365 email is receiving an upgrade April 26-28. As a result of the move, users will need to save their own Lync contact lists.
If you are a current Lync user, you will need to make a screen shot of your current Lync contacts and re-add them following this upgrade.
Lync contact lists are not integrated with the Office 365/Outlook address book.
Infrastructure for the system will be moved to a cloud-hosted environment. Lync will be unavailable from 4 p.m. April 26 through noon April 28.
