SEPT 24-28
Ross to Screen Festival Selections
Showing through Friday beginning at 3pm and on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10am. Admission is FREE.
In the shadow of the Tetons, the colors of autumn set the hillsides ablaze. Steam rises off the river as early frost yields to the warmth of a golden day. The elk are bugling an almost eerie sound, and animals are migrating in preparation for the winter. This is the backdrop of spectacular natural beauty that sets the stage for the seventh international Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. For six remarkable days in September (22-27), filmmakers, producers, distributors, and broadcasters join leading scientists, journalists, and conservationists in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. Gathering from around the world, they are drawn to this wild landscape to exchange ideas, showcase new technology, and celebrate the world’s finest examples of natural history filmmaking and storytelling. Entries for the festival’s film competition are invited from filmmakers, distributors, and broadcasters throughout the world. The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center is proud to host a selection of the finalists from this prestigious event; cosponsored by Emerging Pictures, a company dedicated to the production, distribution, and exhibition of digital cinema.
