Health Care Forum Features Hagel, Kerrey
Republican U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel and former Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Kerrey will make a rare joint appearance for a bipartisan conversation about the future of the nation’s health care. The free, public event is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. today in Kimball Recital Hall.
Overflow seating and live video of the forum will be available in the Johnny Carson Theater at the Lied Center and in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.
Career Services Holds Fall Career Fair
The Fall Career Fair will be held today in the East Campus Union from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources featured. The Actuarial Science Career Fair will be held at the Nebraska Union from 4 - 7 p.m.

University Theatre Opens Season With An Experiment with an Air Pump
UNL's Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film's University Theatre presents Shelagh Stephenson's drama An Experiment with an Air Pump. The play, set in 1799 in a Northern English home abounding with scientific experiments, raises many of the same ethical quandries that challenged people living in 1999.
Performances will be held October 9, 10, 11 & 15, 16, 17, 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre, first floor of the Temple Building at 12th and R Streets. Tickets are $16 regular, $14 faculty/staff and senior citizen, $10 student with ID. Tickets are available at the Lied Center Ticket Office, 301 N. 12th or by telephone at 472-4747 or 800-432-3231.

Tell No One and Trouble The Water Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Tell No One and Trouble The Water. Both films will show through October 9.
In the shortcut language of a movie pitch, Guillaume Canet's delicious contemporary thriller Tell No One is Vertigo meets The Fugitive by way of The Big Sleep. That is meant as high praise. This French adaptation of Harlan Coben's 2001 best seller is the kind of conspiracy-minded mystery almost no one seems capable of creating anymore, except David Lynch in his surreal way. Watching it is like gorging on a hot fudge sundae in the good old days when few worried about sugar and fat. There are no bogus geopolitics weighing it down with a spurious relevance.
