More Information About the UNL.edu Transition

With the introduction of the new 2009 UNL web templates come several changes in both look and and functionality. We've put together a field guide to help you get the most out of the new site.

 

Chinese Courses at UNL's Confucius Institute
Enrollment Now Open for Chinese Courses With UNL's Confucius Institute

Enrollment is now open for non-credit conversational Chinese courses from the Confucius Institute. Courses offered include Chinese Language, Culture and Music. Classes start September 1st. Sign up on the Undergraduate Online and Distance Education website.

UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Food, Inc and Every Little Step. Both films will screen through September 3.

Welcome to Campus: Here's What's New

The newly redesigned web site will help you find your way around UNL.edu much easier. We also have a new UNL Children's Center to take care of our babies and preschoolers while we're busy at work and study. As you will see, construction continues on the new residence hall at 17th and R streets, the physics building at 16th and W, and on the Gaughan Multicultural Center adjacent to the Nebraska Union.

New in the headlines is UNL's ranking in the U.S. News and World Report annual college evaluation. UNL for the sixth straight year listed in the top 50 of Public National Universities (at number 43), and in the top 100 of all U.S. colleges and universities (at number 96).

ABC News Partners with UNL Journalism College to Open Bureau on Campus

ABC News is coming -- to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

The college will open the newest ABC News On Campus bureau this month, offering students the opportunity to work with and learn from professionals at a national broadcast news network. The On Campus program is a partnership between the ABC television network's news division and seven leading journalism schools. more...
