Chiara String Quartet KIMBALL RECITAL HALL, 7:30PM
Chiara String Quartet to Perform Beethoven Quartets

The Chiara String Quartet will perform the final in their series of Complete String Quartets of Beethoven at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. This, the third in a series of concerts, will include the Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, No. 1, Quartet in F minor, Op. 95, and Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 127.

Individual concert tickets are $20, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. Tickets are available through the Lied Center box office at (402)472-4747 or (800)432-3231.

La Danse: The Paris Opera Ballet, The Last Station Play at the Ross

UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents La Danse: The Paris Opera Ballet and the Oscar-nominated (Christopher Plummer - Actor in a Supporting Role, Helen Mirren - Actress in a Leading Role) The Last Station. Both films will show through March 25.

Susan Taber Avila
Hillestad Gallery Hosts Works by Fiber Artist Susan Taber Avila

California fiber artist Susan Taber Avila will present a lecture and lead workshops in conjunction with a month-long exhibition of her work at the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Avila's exhibition, "Oh Naturale," will be in the gallery through March 26. Avila will be on campus March 23-26 to teach and provide a public lecture in conjunction with a reception that begins at 4:30 p.m. March 24 in Room 121 Home Economics Building, north of 35th street and East Campus Loop. The lecture, "Exploring the Ubiquitous Stitch: The Textile Art of Susan Taber Avila," will discuss ways she is integrating reclamation of pre-consumer and post-consumer waste, use of renewable resources as well as other current research interests. more...
