The University Theatre season continues with the Oscar Wilde comedy "Lady Windermere's Fan." Performances are 7:30 p.m., Nov. 10-12 and Nov. 16-19 in the Temple Building's Howell Theatre.
Individual tickets are $16 general admission, $14 for faculty/staff/senior citizens, and $10 for student with a valid identification card. University Theatre season passes (redeemable for four admissions) are $50 general admission and $40 faculty/staff/senior citizens. A group rate of $5 per person is available for groups of 10 or more. College of Law hosts Ag law expert

Neil Hamilton
Neil Hamilton, founder of Drake University's agricultural law center, will discuss the role law plays in rural, food and agricultural policy at noon, in the College of Law.
Hamilton, a professor of law at Drake, is one of the nation's leading authorities on the role of law in shaping agriculture and the food system. He has written more than four dozen law review articles and several books on food and ag law issues. Read more about this talk on Today@UNL.

Forty years of food surpluses have given way to rising food prices and food scarcity. How that happened, what it means, and a look to the future are topics Nov. 10, when Stephen Baenziger presents "Setting the Stage: Why Agriculture," the second Heuermann Lecture. Baenziger will speak at 4 p.m. in the Great Plains Room of the Nebraska East Union.
The Heuermann Lectures in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at UNL focus on meeting the world's growing food and renewable energy needs while sustaining natural resources and the rural communities in which food grows. Read more about this lecture on Today@UNL.

The University Program Council is bringing three comics to Lincoln. Rob Paravonian, Taylor Williamson, and Tracey Ashley will take the stage in "UPC Presents: The Comedy Club." 7:30 p.m., Nov. 10 in the Nebraska Union's Centennial Room. Admission is free for UNL students with a valid NCard and $5 for faculty, staff, and the public.
Paravonian, famed for his Pachelbel Rant YouTube video, is a veteran comic and musician. He has opened for the likes of Lily Tomlin and George Carlin. Performance-based engineering talk is today

Bruce Ellingwood
A seminar on performance-based engineering for multiple hazards, structural reliability and risk assessment will be led by Bruce Ellingwood at noon in the Scott Engineering Center, room 237. The presentation will also be show via television in the Peter Kiewit Institute, room 212.
Ellingwood is a professor of engineering at Georgia Tech. His teaching, research and professional interests center on the application of methods of probability and statistics to structural engineering. He is internationally recognized as an authority on structural load modeling, reliability and risk analysis of engineered facilities, and as a leader in the technical development and implementation of probability based codified design standards for building structures.
